Bulelani Johnson
Bulelani is 2 years old and lives in a small 4 roomed block home with 5 adults and 3 children. Only one person is working. Both his parents are unemployed and survive on his child grant and casual jobs

Silindokuhle Mbuqe
Silindokuhle Mbuqe is 3 years old. He lives with his unemployed Granny in a 2 roomed home. They do not even get child support. No one cares for this little boy.

Thimna Sandlana
Thimna is three years old. Her father disappeared soon after her birth. Her mother appears once or twice a year. She lives with her great grandmother in a 2 roomed house. The old lady also has to look after 2 grandchildren all without child support. Donations to Brighter Futures will help to keep Thimna at school and will lift a great burden from the old lady's shoulders.

Sinovuya Fusa
Sinovuya is three years old.
He lives with his unemployed parents in a shack. There is no food. Very, very poor conditions. This little boy needs some sunlight in his life.

Owethu Limba
Owethu is one year old. He lives with his parents in 2 rooms in a back yard. Only his mother is employed. He needs a better chance in life.

Lutho Mabele
Lutho is almost 4 years old. He lives in a 4 roomed home. There are 6 in the family but only one person is employed and her income supports the whole family, with the help of Lutho's child support grant. It's very difficult to cover food, medication and education from one income.

Khanyisa and Mtawelanga
Khanyisa and Mtawelanga Bassie were born on 8th June 2002. These twins were born to a young mother who lost her own parents when she was young. As she has no parental support she lives in a house with her brothers and sisters - none of whom have any income. They all rely on the child support grant of the two twins. There is no other money to maintain the house, only the children's grant which makes it very difficult to survive.

Zido and Siphiwe Papu
Zido and Siphiwe Papu. These little boys are brothers. Their mother is a prostitute who takes little care of them. They live in a corrugated iron room which their grandmother pays for. She also takes care of 6 other grandchildren. They receive no child support . Their father(s) is unknown and their date of birth is not known. Their situation is critical as they are very neglected.

Lulutho Nontshingo
Two and a half years old. He lives with his mother and her unemployed boy- friend in a one roomed shack. They rely entirely on casual jobs and child support. Life is very difficult for both parents.
